All But One Clark School To Reopen For In-Person Learning Monday

Only one Clark district school will remain on the full remote next week due to staffing issues, said Superintendent of Schools​ Ed Grande.

CLARK, NJ — All Clark Public Schools, except for one, will reopen on Monday to in-person instruction after being closed for the past few weeks due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.

In light of the most updated data and in close consultation with our local Health Officer, Superintendent of Schools Ed Grande announced on Friday that Arthur L. Johnson High School, Frank K. Hehnly Elementary School, Valley Road Elementary School, and Clark Preschool will reopen.

The district's a.m. and p.m. simultaneous in-person/full remote sessions will be resuming along with all in-person school activities, including athletics.

Carl H. Kumpf Middle School will remain on the full remote, four-hour day model next week from Jan. 25 to 29 due to staffing issues. All in-person activities at CHK will remain suspended through next week.

Clark Township last reported a coronavirus update on Jan. 11. The Health Officer reported a total of 867 COVID-19 cases since March, with 809 investigated, and 58 pending.
