Live Owl at the Library, Cooking Demo at Oh' Brian's, Garwood Council Meeting This Week

Live owl at the Clark Library: A live owl will visit the library for an in-depth look at the lives of these interesting and often misunderstood nocturnal birds of prey. This program, presented by the Raptor Trust, is for children in grades 2 and up. Registration is required for all attendees. Priority registration for Clark residents through Wednesday. Saturday, 2 p.m.
GWACC monthly networking event:Â This month's Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce (Garwood is a member)Â event is a breakfast at Tepp Accounting Services in Westfield. Tuesday, 7:30 a.m.
Fall harvest cooking demo at Oh' Brian's On the Green: Oh' Brian's is pleased to announce the first of a series of cooking demonstrations with Executive Chef Brian Walter. Make your reservations, bring some friends, and enjoy a meal with the tastes of the autumn harvest. $40 includes a four course meal with demonstration; $55 with wine pairings. Class size is limited and reservations are required. Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.
Antique appraisal and gold buying at the Clark Library: The Friends of the Clark Public Library invite you to attend our first Sell Gold for Cash and Antique Appraisal fundraiser. All proceeds will benefit the Clark Public Library. Robert from Westfield Antiques will appraise up to three items (excluding jewelry and coins). $5 for the 1st item and $3 each for the 2nd and 3rd item. Also, bring your unwanted or broken jewelry and American Gold and Diamond Buyers (licensed and bonded) will evaluate and quote a price. Saturday, 10 a.m.
Free self-defense class in Garwood: Stay as safe as you possibly can, empower yourself by learning some form of self-defense at Sana Seido Karate Studio. Please wear comfortable clothes. Refreshments will be served. Call Benny at 201-264-0636 to confirm your attendance. All are welcomed. Saturday, 2 p.m.
Wine tasting at Rosie's: Thanksgiving and wine come together at this red and white tasting for $30 at Rosie's Wine Bar in Garwood. Wednesday.
Clark BOE meets:Â The Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. above the police station on Tuesday.
Garwood council meets:Â Council will meet at 7 p.m. at borough hall on Tuesday. Three police officer promotions are on the agenda.Â
