Clark Cancels Memorial Day Parade, Ceremony Amid Coronavirus

CLARK, NJ — Clark's Memorial Day parade and ceremony are canceled due to the new coronavirus and Governor Phil Murphy’s mandate of large group gatherings, the Clark Recreation Department announced Monday.

The parade and ceremony had been scheduled for Monday, May 25.

Ralph Bernardo is encouraging residents to instead fly the American flag on this day honor the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

As of Friday, the Township Health Officer reports a total of 146 COVID 19 cases received, with 125 closed out, and 21 still under investigation.

As of Sunday, the state is reporting Union County has 9,609 cases and 372 deaths related to the coronavirus.
