Clark-Garwood COVID Vaccine Numbers: Latest Totals

Week by week the number of Clark-Garwood residents getting vaccinated continues to rise. See the latest total:

CLARK/GARWOOD, NJ — The number of Clark-Garwood residents who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 continues to rise in the township.

The New Jersey Department of Health released town-level data on COVID-19 vaccinations. The state's COVID-19 dashboard now reveals the percentage of all people, adults and seniors who have been partially or fully vaccinated in each city and town.

Here's the data in Clark Township and Garwood Borough as of Friday, June 11:

  • Clark population with at least one dose: 57 percent of all ages, 69 percent of adults (18 and older) and 83 percent of seniors (65 and older).
  • Clark population fully vaccinated: 58 percent of all ages, 62 percent of adults and 77 percent of seniors.
  • Garwood population with at least one dose: 56 percent of all ages, 66 percent of adults (18 and older) and 86 percent of seniors (65 and older).
  • Garwood population fully vaccinated: 49 percent of all ages, 59 percent of adults and 80 percent of seniors.

Clark and Garwood are slowly making progress.

In Clark: Comparing the numbers from June 4, the percentage of fully vaccinated people of all ages increased by 2 percent and the percentage of all ages with at least one dose increased 1 percent.

In Garwood: Comparing the numbers from June 4, the percentage of fully vaccinated people of all ages increased by 2 percent and the percentage of all ages with at least one dose increased 1 percent.

Across Union County, there have been 545,688 doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered as of June 4, according to the state Department of Health. There were 307,565 county residents who have received at least one dose of the vaccines, the state's COVID-19 database says, and 258,054 who were fully vaccinated as of that date.

New Jersey set a goal to fully vaccinate 70 percent of adults — 4.7 million people — by the end of June. Just over 4.369 million people in New Jersey have been fully vaccinated as of Friday afternoon.
