Clark Hosts Take-Out Friday To Support Eateries Amid Coronavirus

CLARK, NJ — Clark Township Mayor Sal Bonaccorso is hosting Take-Out Friday to support local businesses amid the new coronavirus outbreak.

"As we navigate through the COVID 19 crisis, our local businesses are feeling the hardships associated with it. I'm asking our residents to rally and support these businesses, as they supported us year after year. They are the first to step up and donate to our Recreation Department, our sports teams, and our senior events. So I'm asking everyone, join me Friday, March 27, and order from one of our local restaurants. Let’s show our community support!" Bonaccorso said.

The restaurants offer a variety of options to do take-out including curbside, pickup, delivery, and drive-thru.

Clark Township reported two additional COVID 19 cases reported Wednesday. This brings the total to six in the Township. Four prior cases are all recovering well.

In total Union County has 262 cases as of Wednesday.

Murphy also announced on Wednesday that the state has 736 more positive tests and 18 more deaths, raising the case total to 4,402 and the death toll to 62. (See Related: Gov. Murphy To Shut Many Day Care Centers Amid Coronavirus Crisis)
