CLARK, NJ — A Clark man was arrested Tuesday for robbing a bank in Rutherford, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig announced.

Senenca Wilson, aka "Seneca Wilson," 42, of Clark, was charged by complaint with one count of bank robbery.

On April 7 at 4:12 p.m., Wilson went into the bank in Rutherford wearing a thin windbreaker over a dark T-shirt with a white logo, a dark New York Yankees baseball cap, sunglasses, a neck gaiter over his face, and a glove on his left hand, according to documents filed in this case and statements made in court.

Wilson gave the teller a note demanding money with no straps on the bills and a white bag. The teller put about $2,300 in cash into the white plastic bag and Wilson took the bag of cash and walked out of the bank, according to the report.

Moments later, a doorbell video camera on a nearby home recorded Wilson running south down the sidewalk away from the bank, said Honig.

A few seconds later, a car registered to Wilson was seen driving away from the area, and the Yankees baseball cap that Wilson wore during the robbery was found by police in a recycling bin near the bank, said Honig.

Wilson faces a maximum potential penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on the bank robbery charge.
