Cop Trot 5K Run/Walk in Union County, Oct. 17

Mountainside PAL will host the 16th annual Cop Trot and Tot Trot 5K Run/Walk on Oct. 17.

The festivities start at Deerfield School (302 Central Ave., Mountainside) with day of registration and distribution of race packets, including bib number race timing and custom race shirt. Rain or shine we run! The Tot Trot for children 6 and under takes off at 8:30 am, followed by the run/walk at 9 a.m.

All Tot Trot participants get a t-shirt and finisher medal. All registered runners/walkers get a t-shirt and finisher medal.

The awards ceremony begins immediately after the run, with medals being presented to the top three male and female finishers of the 5K and in various male and female age groups ranging from 7 to 80 and older.

A local DJ will provide entertainment. Bib prizes will be drawn and distributed (must be present to win a bib prize.)
Complimentary refreshments will be provided to all, including bottled water, bagels, oranges, etc.

To register, log on to www.mountainsidepal.com and click on the Cop Trot registration box to pay by credit card, or download a registration form and mail in to pay by check.

Day of event registration starts at 8 a.m.

Proceeds from last year’s event, were used for local Mountainside PAL community programs that include:

  • cheer-leading
  • family skate night
  • micro soccer
  • 4th of July fireworks, etc.
