Roselle Pedestrian Hit While Crossing E. St. Georges Avenue

The 58-year-old woman was hit by a truck driven by a Linden man and taken to a hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries: Police.

LINDEN, NJ — A Roselle pedestrian was hospitalized after she was hit crossing E. St. George Avenue in Linden on Monday morning.

Just after 6 a.m., the 58-year-old woman was crossing near W. Baltimore Avenue when she was hit by a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado Pickup driven by a 48-year-old Linden man, Linden Police Lt. Christopher Guenther reported.

She was taken to Newark University Hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries, Guenther said.

The Linden driver was not injured.

E. St. George Avenue was closed during the investigation and reopened as of 8:42 a.m.

The crash remains is under investigation by Linden Police Accident Investigation Unit, and anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Investigator Jimmy Solano at 908-474-8505.
