Driver Escapes From Overturned SUV In 2-Car Crash In Clark

Clark firefighters went to the area of Madison Hill Road and Cornell Drive on Friday just before 10 p.m. to help rescue a trapped driver.

CLARK, NJ — A driver was able to escape from his overturned SUV following a two-car crash in Clark on Friday night.

Clark firefighters went to the area of Madison Hill Road and Cornell Drive on Friday just before 10 p.m. to help rescue a trapped driver, said Clark Fire Department.

One SUV was lying on its driver's side and another car had heavy damage on its backside, according to Clark Fire Department.

The driver of the SUV on its side was able to escape on his own and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway by Rahway Emergency Squad. The driver's condition is unknown, according to Clark Fire Department.

A tow truck was able to roll the SUV back over to an upright position.
