Teen In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Car In Union Co.

The accident happened right as she was being picked up from school Tuesday afternoon.

ELIZABETH, NJ — A 15-year-old girl was struck by a car while being picked up from school, in Elizabeth, Tuesday early afternoon, according to Public Information Officer Kelly Martins.

The incident happened at around 1 p.m., at North Broad Street and North Avenue, Martins said. Right as she was being picked up another vehicle hit her. It remained on the scene.

The 15-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition with an injury to her head.
