Elmora Troopers To Be Honored In Seaside Heights
The Elizabeth-based team will receive a proclamation from their town for making it into the Little League World Series.

ELIZABETH, NJ — The Elmora Troopers will be honored in Seaside Heights on Friday for making it into the Little League World Series.
Seaside Heights Borough Mayor Anthony Vaz will present the team with a proclamation congratulating them on winning the Mid-Atlantic Region and representing New Jersey in Williamsport. The team is the 11th from New Jersey to reach the Little League World Series in the more than 60 years the tournament has existed.
The team will be honored at the Franklin Avenue stage at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, and then will get free beach access, ride passes for Casino Pier, pizza and other items.

The Troopers from Elizabeth, the Mid-Atlantic Region Champions, advanced to play Louisiana following their 2-0 defeat of New England's Barrington squad in the final inning Tuesday in the Little League Baseball World Series tournament. Despite putting up quite a fight, the team ended up losing to Louisiana on Aug. 21. (See Related: NJ Team Loses Little League World Series, But Inspires 'Shake')
"You get to say you guys played with best group of players on the planet," Coach Jairo Labrador said as knelt down beside the team following the game. "Elizabeth is so proud of you guys."

The team even inspired own dance called the "Jersey Shake" that Major League Baseball players are imitating. Watch current New York Met Todd Frazier strut his moves:
