Fatal Victim In Parkway Crash ID'd After Car Landed In Water: PD
Friends paid tribute to the fatal victim of a Parkway crash on Sunday after he was identified. The vehicle landed in a reservoir.

CLARK – Friends paid tribute to a 49-year-old man who was killed in a Garden State Parkway crash on Sunday, police said. The vehicle landed in a reservoir.
The driver, Brian Demeo, 49, of North Caldwell was ejected and suffered fatal injuries, police said.

The accident was reported at 1:13 a.m. on Parkway northbound at milepost 135.6 in Clark.

A Nissan Pathfinder struck the rear of a Nissan Rogue, police said. The Pathfinder then went off the road to the right, went through the guardrail and then through a metal chain link fence, police said.
The vehicle then struck several trees and overturned into the Middlesex Reservoir.
The driver and passenger of the Rogue suffered minor injuries.
The right two lanes were closed for approximately two hours.
