Freddy's Frozen Custard's First NJ Location To Open In Linden

LINDEN, NJ – Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, a fast casual restaurant chain that aims to take diners back in time, will open its first New Jersey location in Linden later this month, according to a recent social media post by Mayor Derek Armstead.

The post did not provide an exact date for the site, but said the restaurant will be located in Legacy Square at 1000 W. Edgar Rd. in Linden. Armstead wrote that New Jersey becomes the 33rd state in which the national chain offering nostalgic tastes to customers will operate.

The Linden location will be managed by NJ Steakburgers, according to the restaurant's website, announcing the new location. The site said that Freddy's strives to serve fresh food, provide warm hospitality and become a vital part of the communities the restaurant serves by hosting events, fundraisers and providing great career opportunities.

Freddy's opened first opened in Wichita, Kansas, in 2002 but was acquired by private equity firm Thompson Street Capital Partners in March, according to Armstead's social media post. The mayor said he will be offering more details in coming days about the Linden location's grand opening events.
