'Road Conditions Are Treacherous': Snow Update In Clark, Garwood
Heavy snow conditions hit Clark and Garwood hard on Monday and more is expected to come Tuesday. Here's the latest:

CLARK/GARWOOD, NJ — Snow is expected to continue Monday night and Tuesday in Clark and Garwood.
Clark
The Clark Police Department is reminding residents to remove their cars from the streets in order to make the DPW's job of plowing the roads easier.

"If you can avoid going out during the storm, please do so," said Clark Police.

Garwood
"Road conditions are treacherous. Please stay home and off the roads to allow DPW to clear them in a timely manner," said Garwood Police around 1 p.m.
Garwood Schools are virtual on Tuesday and collection for the Borough of Garwood scheduled for Monday was canceled.
Garwood's borough ordinance states that "Whenever snow has fallen and there is an accumulation of three inches or more of snow on any street or highway, no vehicle shall be parked on any street or highway, or portion thereof in the Borough of Garwood. This prohibition shall remain in effect until and after the snow has ceased and the street has been plowed after the cessation of the snowfall."
Garwood residents who do not have off-street parking available should contact the Garwood Police Department at 908-789-1500.
Snow Totals
The National Weather Service has released some of the snow totals for Union County - last counted as of 5 p.m.:
- Westfield - 17.2 inches
- Elizabeth - 16.5 inches
- Plainfield - 15 inches
- Hillside - 13.5 inches
- Rahway - 13.5 inches
- Newark Airport - 13 inches
- Union - 13 inches
- Fanwood - 12.5 inches
Union County
Union County College classes will be held remotely on Tuesday and Kean University said most employees will continue to work remotely on Tuesday.
