How The Clark Town Pool Will Operate This Summer

CLARK, NJ — Clark Pool will open Monday, however, this year's season will look a little different than those in the past. Here is what you can expect:
"Please keep in mind there will be a list of restrictions and I assure you it will not be a typical summer at the Clark pool. With that said, we will do everything in our power to follow the guidelines and restrictions to keep our staff and members safe, but we need your cooperation, understanding and patience," said Ralph Bernardo, Director of Recreation and the Pool.
Here are just a few of the new rules that will be mandated this season:

- Members must bring their own chair
- Grounds will be clearly marked for the safe 6-feet distance rule
- Temperatures will be taken as members enter
- Bathrooms will be closed and cleaned every hour
- Masks should be worn at member's discretion
- Foot covering must be worn when entering and exiting the pool
- There will be no floats or any type of pool toys allowed
- Only packaged food will be sold at the concession
- There will be no swim lessons and no swim team
- No guests will be allowed
- No daily passes will be allowed
The pool grounds can house the 50 percent capacity issued by the state guidelines. Last year's members both resident and non-members can sign up in order to get first crack at a guaranteed membership. After this, registrations will be on a first come first serve basis and when we reach capacity, registration will be closed, and a waiting list created.
Residents must register and pay online at ourclark.com, click Clark Recreation under the Community tab. For those who can not register online, they can print a membership form off of ourclark.com, fill it out and mail it in with a check or cash. Prices remain the same as last year. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
