Kids Rock Concert In Garwood To Help Buy Glasses For Needy
Proceeds from the concert, to be held Saturday in Garwood, will help purchase new prescription eyeglasses for children living in the U.S.
GARWOOD, NJ — Kids Rock for Vision will be held in Garwood on Saturday to help purchase new prescription eyeglasses for children living in the U.S.
Sponsored and produced by the Chatham School of Rock, the 11th annual concert fundraiser will be held on March 23 from 5 to 7 p.m., at The Crossroads at 78 North Ave., Garwood where proceeds will be donated to New Eyes for the Needy. Kids Rock has raised $66,000 for New Eyes since its inception.
"It’s hard to believe that these are local teenagers performing these songs," said Jean Gajano, executive director of New Eyes, a not-for-profit. "They have incredible talent and wonderful stage presence. They perform their own compositions and well-known hits, so it will be a great evening of music in a fun venue. New Eyes is so grateful for their continued assistance in helping us change the lives of children through the critical yet simple tool of eyeglasses."
