Lower Road Closed Through Monday For Repairs

LINDEN, NJ — Lower Road in Linden will be closed in both directions through Monday for water company repairs, Linden Police announced.

The road will be closed in the area of 1601 Lower Road (Filabila Inc.). Local traffic for businesses that remain open will have limited access from Lower Road from Parkway Avenue up to the work zone.

Trucks traveling in this direction will be detoured at 21st Street. Traffic will not have access to Avenue C or Rahway Cirty Line from this direction.

Avenue C will remain open to traffic coming from Route 1 past Modells, however all traffic will be forced to turn right toward Rahway.

Traffic from Barnett Street in Rahway toward Lower Road will be detoured onto E. Lincoln Avenue.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate route if possible.
