Mayoral Proclamation Given To Five Clark Women

Mayor Bonaccorso invited several Clark women to Monday night’s Council Meeting to congratulate them on being named SHeroes.

Kim Baglieri, Sally Corvinus, Bonnie Diaz, Kristin Imbimbo and Lori Kowalski each won a SHero award from Union County because of the exceptional leadership and commitment they demonstrated in their community throughout the COVID-19 crisis.

The mayor congratulated and thanked each woman for all they did in service to others throughout this unprecedented time in society.

“I am still going to be a believer in America, I am always going to be a believer in Clark, that when people are down and in the roughest times, there are always some good souls sent from the Lord above to help those in need and that was definitely shown here with the help you gave through the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Bonaccorso.

The Mayor’s Proclamation was read into the record before each woman was presented their own.

The proclamation read:

WHEREAS Clark residents Kim Baglieri, Sally Corvinus, Bonnie Diaz, Kristin Imbimbo and Lori Kowalski selflessly gave of themselves to support others during the height of the coronavirus pandemic; and

WHEREAS each woman stood in support of others serving COVID-19 patients, cared for patients directly or protected others from harm’s way; and

WHEREAS as these women ignored their own personal comfort and stepped out of their usual bounds to create new programs, mentor to others and rally communities and families; and

WHEREAS each woman recognized a need and rose to the challenge in stressful, unknown times; and

WHEREAS these women brought their knowledge, words of comfort and lent their strength to others that needed it more; and

WHEREAS each of these Clark women were selected as SHero Award Recipients by the County of Union; and

NOW, THEREFORE, I Sal Bonaccorso, Mayor of Clark and the Township Council do hereby honor and pay tribute to Kim Baglieri, Sally Corvinus, Bonnie Diaz, Kristin Imbimbo and Lori Kowalski with respect and tremendous gratitude for their generous works, leadership and dedication to serving others
