Opening Day Finally In Sight For Duck Donuts In Clark

CLARK, NJ — Good news for Duck Donuts fans! The opening of the new Clark location is finally coming after months of setbacks!

"THE BUILD-OUT HAS BEGUN!!! An open date is in sight! Currently looking like mid-October but we’re hoping to improve that. Spread the word!!!" Duck Donuts posted on Facebook Tuesday.

The franchise homemade doughnut shop had initially planned to open this spring in the Clark Circle Shopping Plaza at 77 Central Ave. It was then pushed back to the summer and now the fall.

Permits were secured in late June and construction has since begun.

Duck Donuts spokeswoman Kristin Kellum told Patch, "We anticipate a fall 2018 opening."

This will mark the third location to open in New Jersey. There is a location in Middletown, and a location opened last November in Green Brook.

Duck Donuts is a made-to-order shop that allows customers to customize the toppings and watch as their doughnuts are made fresh in front of them.
