Reopening Garwood Businesses 'Is A Great Start'
Gov. Phil Murphy reopened more businesses as he readies a plan to restart New Jersey's economy amid the coronavirus outbreak.
GARWOOD, NJ — The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce says Gov. Phil Murphy's announcement on Wednesday to begin opening some small businesses "is a great start."
"The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce was established over 70 years ago with the purpose of supporting local businesses and helping in any way we can. This is a great start to economic recovery. Non-essential businesses can begin to open and sell their products, delivering curbside with both walkup traffic and car pickup. This will be a definite help towards full recovery," said GWACC CEO Gene Jannotti.
The GWACC serves businesses and non-profit organizations and supporting local economies in Scotch Plains, Fanwood, Garwood, Mountainside, and Westfield.
