Deutscher Club of Clark
787 Featherbed Ln., Clark
What They Said: "Despite the setbacks imposed by COVID, the Deutscher Club of Clark, NJ remains a creative, vibrant, and vital contributing member of the greater Clark community. At the start of the pandemic, the Club expanded its dining services, normally reserved exclusively for Club members, to include drive-thru curb-side pick of authentic German food to the community at large. This service continues now. To further its commitment to the greater Clark community, in the early days of the pandemic the Deutscher Club held a no-contact, drive-by collection of items that were hard to find, such as paper towels, hand sanitizer, disinfectant, and disinfecting wipes, which were donated to the Clark Police Department. In addition, two very talented Club seamstresses began crafting quality fabric face masks, which were donated to Overlook Hospital and other community service groups and were also sold at low cost to the general public. Recently, despite the loss of revenues as a result of imposed covid restrictions, the Deutscher Club

raised several thousand dollars that were contributed to a young Clark resident to help offset the costs of her novel life-saving medical treatment. To honor this young lady in her valiant fight, the Club also named her Honorary Miss Deutscher Club of 2020. The Deutscher Club of Clark is grateful to its members, guests, and the community for its continuing support in this trying time."

Rudy's Italian Restaurant
300 South Ave., Garwood
What They Said: "Fed us through the pandemic and were always cheerful and had great service throughout this whole ordeal. They continue to give exceptional service to the community. It was a nice change and delightful to eat there during these unhappy times."

M Pilates and Yoga NJ
300 South Ave., 2nd floor, Garwood
What They Said: "At M Pilates & Yoga NJ, Leanne and her staff go above and beyond to create a comfortable, safe, clean environment. During the uncertain times of 2020, Leanne has quickly adapted her business model to meet the demands created by the COVID environment. Offering virtual classes, one on one sessions, and more stringent cleaning protocols. Her studio offers Pilates, Yoga, as well as other alternative healing and meditation techniques. Her studio is fully equipped with reformers, towers, chairs, and barrels. This enables her to provide the full breath of exercises Pilates has to offer. Leanne’s background as a physical therapist sets her apart from other studios. Each one of her clients receives instruction tailored to their unique needs. Whether you seek more flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone, improved posture, increased body awareness or stress management and relaxation, I highly recommend Leanne and her team. During these challenging times Leanne has proven her ability to adapt, and thrive, meeting the needs of her customers and community."
