2 Collingswood Restaurants Among State's Top 30, NJ Monthly Says

COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — Two Collingswood restaurants have been named to New Jersey Monthly's annual list of 30 best restaurants in the state. Hearthside and Zeppoli both made the annual list.

Dominic and Lindsay Piperno opened their dream restaurant in their hometown in the fall and have already made the list. Dominic Piperno fell in love with cooking over wood in Chianti, Italy, and worked under fine chefs on both sides of the Delaware River before opening Hearthside.

Zeppoli's success has to do with its consistent menu. Joe Baldino's inspiration comes from his motherland, Sicily, including tagliatelli al limone. “I had it in a beach town in Sicily,” he told the magazine, “and I had to bring it to New Jersey.” Every recipe is meaningful, including the namesake Zeppoli.
