Boys & Girls Club Camden Distributes Thanksgiving Food Boxes

Susan K. Abell Thanksgiving Dinner continues holiday tradition started in 2002

Continuing a tradition started in 2002, the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County (BGCCC) distributed the Susan K. Abell Thanksgiving Dinner on Friday, Nov. 20 to 50 Club Members and their families. This year food was purchased with funds from an anonymous donor and the Asbell & Levin Families. Each family also received $50 in Shoprite gift cards which were donated by Congregation Beth El in honor of their 100th Anniversary.

In addition to the regular weekly food distribution of staples like oatmeal, spaghetti, peanut butter and fresh fruit, the BGCCC Thanksgiving food boxes included turkey gravy, celery, carrots, stuffing, canned cranberries, pie, powdered iced tea and more.
