"We do not anticipate having to limit access to the pool on a daily basis in order to meet the 50 percent occupancy standard,” Collingswood Mayor James Maley said. “Roberts Pool capacity is very big, and we rarely get close to 50 percent occupancy on the hottest weekends. Guests will be much more spread out than in previous seasons but otherwise sales and access to the pool will be very similar to regular operation. In order to follow safety guidelines members will, however, notice several changes in 2020 that will make this season different than previous years."
To reduce touchpoints and keep staff and guests safe, no chairs, picnic tables or umbrellas will be supplied. Guests are welcome to bring their own blankets and chairs, but outside umbrellas are not permitted. The concession stand will not be open. Guests must be 15 years old or older to attend without a guardian.
State guidelines provide that guests must remain socially distant by spreading out in areas at least six feet apart and remaining socially distant in the water. Cloth face coverings are encouraged when not in the pool and where social distancing of six feet cannot be maintained. Guests must enter and exit through assigned gates. These rules may be adjusted as new state guidelines are issued.
