Flooding Closes Area Roads

Heavy downpours and flooding have closed roads throughout the area Sunday afternoon.

Road closures include the Black Horse Pike in both directions at Nicholson Road in Haddon Township, plus lane closures on Route 130 in Gloucester City and on the White Horse Pike in Collingswood.

Route 130 was backed up for several miles in both directions heading in to Gloucester and Camden counties Sunday evening. Parts of Admiral Wilson Boulevard are also underwater.

Roads may continue to open and close as the rain continues. Drive with extreme caution. Never drive through a puddle that you cannot see the bottom of -- even a few inches of water are strong enough to carry a car away.
