Hometown Hero: Collingswood Food Director Goes Above And Beyond

COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Cathy Connolly, who nominated her employee Nancy Hibbard. Hibbard is the food services director at Collingswood High School.

“Nancy goes above and beyond to ensure that the students in her community have access to healthy, nutritious meals weekly,” Connolly said in the submission. “She plans the menu with the kids in mind, sending home their favorites to heat and enjoy. Nancy is the most giving and caring person who is always there to help out other Directors when needed.”
