Human Detention Camp Protesters Plan Collingswood Event
Protesters will gather at Knight Park on Friday night, July 12.
COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — A candlelight vigil in protest of human detention camps is planned Friday in Collingswood.
The event, to be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., is being hosted by Cooper River Indivisible. The vigil will be held at Knight Park on Collings Avenue. It is co-sponsored by the Collingswood Progressive Democrats and the South Jersey Women for Progressive Change.
The event is part of a nationwide Lights for Liberty demonstration that will light candles in vigil for all those held in US detention camps.

It was going to take place at The Gazebo, but moved to Knight Park to accommodate more guests, according to the event’s Facebook Page.
