Dear Grandmom, immigrating here alone with three little girls not speaking a word of English, sea sick the entire voyage, taught me what bravery is.It must have been heart wrenching leaving your family and village in Poland to join your husband, I remember you telling me the villagers told you when you see the lady with the light you will know you are there. I think of you when I see the Statue of Liberty. So many of us are grateful for your bravery. The family you left behind told me your generosity and kindness saved the whole village during a very difficult time. You will always be in my heart.I think of you all the time. Love, and Christine
