Manhunt Continues As 3 Charged In Fatal Collingswood Shooting: PD

Three people have been charged, but one remains at-large in the fatal shooting of Jose Morel, police said on Tuesday.

COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — Three men have been charged in the murder of a Collingswood man affectionately known as “Hoagie,” who was fatally gunned down in a Collingswood apartment complex last month, authorities announced on Tuesday.

Two of the men have been arrested, while a manhunt continues for the third, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Collingswood Police Chief Kevin Carey.

Dawud Haskins, 21, Dwayne Graves, 21, both from Camden, and Damian Crews, 20, of Collingswood were each charged with felony murder and armed robbery in the death of 26-year-old Jose Morel, of Collingswood, according to authorities.

Haskins and Crews have been arrested. Authorities are asking for the public’s help to find Graves. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public who might encounter Graves should not approach him, but should call police immediately, authorities advised. Haskins has been in custody since he was arrested on an unrelated matter on Nov. 25, according to authorities. Crews was arrested in Collingswood on Nov. 27. Both are in Camden County Jail awaiting a pre-trial detention hearing.

Collingswood police found Morel in the lobby of the complex on the 500 block of North Newton Lake Drive at about 10:20 p.m. on Sunday night, Nov. 17. Police were responding to reports of a man who appeared to be injured.
