Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development (MEND) will host its 50th Anniversary Celebration, presented by Mr. & Mrs. C. Harry Knowles, at The Merion in Cinnaminson on Friday, October 4 from 6 to 11 p.m. The cocktail hour will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. As tickets are limited, interested individuals must RSVP by September 25.
The elegant evening will feature an open bar, dancing, silent auction, door prizes and live entertainment provided by the Jump City Jazz Orchestra. Attire is black-tie optional. At the celebration, MEND will honor Founder Boyce M. Adams and President and CEO Matthew A. Reilly. The event will also welcome former resident and board member, Ahaji Schreffler, to speak about her experience transitioning from MEND resident to proud homeowner.

“It is an absolute privilege and honor to be celebrating 50 years of providing affordable housing to our community,” said Matthew Reilly. “From stories like Ahaji’s, we’re reminded of the great impact of our work and our responsibility as citizens to continue to help our neighbors in need.”
Proceeds from the evening will be used to help MEND keep rents at below-market levels, thus easing the costs for current and future residents who can then better afford other important necessities like food, clothing and health care.
