The Borough of Oaklyn is currently recruiting for police officer, in order to establish an eligibility list for current & future vacancies. We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and hard working individuals for our Police Department.

The Borough of Oaklyn Police Department is a service-oriented agency whose members take pride in their proactive response to crime, disorder and quality of life issues. This approach recognizes our community’s high expectations for professional police services and has sustained a positive relationship with the community for many years.

The Borough of Oaklyn currently employs 11 full-time police officers, one SLEO II (Special Law Enforcement Officer II) and one civilian employee. The department is organized into the following four bureaus. They are Patrol, Investigative, Support Services and Operational Services. We offer our future officers a modern facility, excellent equipment and a chance to work with some of the most experienced law enforcement officers in Camden County.

Applicants with a current New Jersey Police Training Commission Certificate or equivalent are required. All interested candidates must complete an employment

Application and provide an updated resume along with a copy of their Police Training Certificate.

Applications can be obtained from the police department records division Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. All applications and resumes must be submitted by Friday, May 31, 2013.

Qualified candidates will then be given instructions on the next step in the hiring process. The department will only be accepting applications and resumes in person. No telephone calls or meetings will be conducted at this time.
