Rabid Bat Discovered in Gloucester Twp.

Camden County has issued a second rabies health advisory this week after a bat removed from a Gloucester Township home Wednesday was tested positive for rabies.

"The homeowner killed that bat after it woke family members from their sleep early in the morning," according to the county-issued statement; "the family has been advised to seek rabies prophylaxis."

Yesterday, Camden County ; a rabid raccoon was also identified in that same section of the township in February.
