Search Continues For New Collingswood Schools Superintendent
The Collingswood Board of Education and HYA Associates are partnering in the search for a new superintendent, the district announced.
COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — The Collingswood Public School District Board of Education has entered into a contract with Illinois-based HYA Associates in its search for a new superintendent, the district said on Monday.
The ad hoc search committee interviewed a number of firms and consultants last week, according to the school district. The announcement came as the Collingswood and Oaklyn boards of education reiterated their commitment to keeping the public in the loop on its search. The districts share a superintendent.
“It is incredibly important to us that you are involved in this process,” Collingswood Board of Education President Fiona Henry and Oaklyn Board of Education President Bill Stauts said in a joint statement. “As community members, you play a vital role in helping the Board develop a leadership profile that reflects the type of school leader that our communities want and need moving forward.”

The district has also provided a link to an online survey about the search.
“This is the first step of the research-based community engagement process we are undertaking with the help of our consultant team to identify the goals, needs, and priorities of our school districts along with the desired characteristics of our next superintendent,” the board presidents said. “A translation of this update will be forthcoming shortly in Spanish. Please keep an eye out for more engagement opportunities in the next few weeks.”
