“Here we go! I’m thrilled to announce the Carlo’s Bakery famiglia is expanding to Philly baby! It’s official!” Valastro wrote on his Facebook page.

According to Carlo’s Bakery, the newest location will be at 2101 Walnut St., near Rittenhouse Square.

“The City of Brotherly Love is about to get a lot sweeter - Carlo’s Bakery Philadelphia is coming!!” the bakery said on Facebook.

Valastro came to fame after TLC began filming the flagship bakery’s daily happenings in Hoboken. Since then, Buddy and his extended family – along with their imaginative and jaw-dropping creations – have become household names.

Valastro has been in the in news recently for reasons that are decidedly not sweet: in November, he was charged with drunken driving after being pulled over in Manhattan.

He pleaded guilty in December, and had his license suspended for three months.

Carlo’s and Valastro offered no timeline for the opening of the bakery’s latest location.
