Who's Running For School Board In Collingswood?
Only two candidates are running for three open seats in November's school board elections.
COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — There are only two candidates running for three open seats in November’s Collingswood Public School Board of Education elections, and only one of them is an incumbent.
Clinton Connor, Dr. Raymond Becker and Jason Waugh are all up for re-election this year. Only Connor filed a petition to run for re-election by the 4 p.m. deadline on Monday, July 29, according to the unofficial list posted on the Camden County Clerk’s website. Siria Rivera is also running. Each seat carries a three-year term.
According to the New Jersey School Boards Association, if there are fewer candidates running than there are number of seats available, the person who gets the highest number of write-in votes will be offered the final seat if they are a qualified candidate.

If there is a tie among write-in candidates, a special election is held between the candidates if more than one is a qualified candidate and wish to hold the position. If the write-in candidate doesn't wish to hold the seat, the county superintendent will appoint a new member to the seat.
The list is unofficial until certified by the Camden County Clerk. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
