Work Underway On West Collings Avenue; Detours In Effect
A gas main is being replaced in Collingswood on Friday, July 26.

COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) crews are repairing a gas main at 16 West Collings Avenue in Collingswood, Camden County officials announced. The road will be closed at the intersection with Haddon Avenue between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday.
Traffic traveling west on Haddon Avenue will not be able to make a left turn onto West Collings Avenue, and traffic traveling east on Haddon Avenue will not be able to make a right turn onto West Collings Avenue. There will be posted detours.
“Please allow yourself extra time to reach your destination if you typically access West Collings Avenue from Haddon Avenue along your commute,” Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, said. “This is a heavily trafficked area, and the posted detour route will likely cause sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions in the area surrounding construction. Motorists should be extra careful when approaching and driving through the construction area.”
