Hazel is the most well adjusted little 3 year old 7-pound Chihuahua, despite the horrible life she has had. Her former owner over bred her till she couldn’t get pregnant anymore and then dumped her at a local shelter. Hazel gets along very well with other big and small dogs although we think she thinks she is a big dog! Hazel loves car rides and long walks on pavement, grass and the beach. She is very healthy and was recently spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Hazel could definitely go into a home with older children who know and understand how to take care of a small petite pooch. If you are looking for a goofy gentle giant, then Gus is your man. Gus is a 2 year old Rottweiler who came to us after he was surrendered to an overcrowded North Jersey shelter. Gus is always smiling and continues to bring joy to the people around him. We are in the process of learning how he is with other dogs. Since he is large we would prefer a home with older children who know how to act around a big dog. Gus is currently 80lbs with some weight to gain, and being strong, he will definitely need to go to training classes to learn how to be the perfect pooch. A fenced in yard is mandatory for him since he will need lots of exercise. Once you meet him you will instantly fall in love! Click here for more information on Gus.

Is that Bugs Bunny? Is that a wascally wabbit!?!? No silly, that’s our girl Charlotte. Although her ears make her look like a rabbit, Charlotte is a 1 year old 40-pound Pit Bull/ Staffy Mix who was pulled from a home in North Jersey. She is so sweet, but is in need of an experienced dog owner and a lot of puppy training. We believe Charlotte has had no formal training and is acting like a typical puppy. She is learning to walk on a leash and trying to understand basic commands. We are in the process of learning how she is with other dogs and would be ok in a home with older children who can help with her training. One meeting with Charlotte and you will understand what a wonderful baby she is, not to mention her ears are irresistible! Click here for more information on Charlotte.

Watts is a 6 month old Pit/Lab mix puppy who has had a terrible start in life. He was being sold on Facebook for breeding or fighting. Thanks to a concerned Good Samaritan, we were able to rescue him from a horrible future. This amazing little man is the most well adjusted puppy even though he was raised in horrible conditions. Watts absolutely loves other dogs, especially other big dogs he can wrestle with. He also has spent a lot of time with older children and believes that any lap is his lap to sleep in. Watts will need to go to puppy training classes to learn typical manners when hanging out with people and other dogs. He is crate trained, potty trained, vaccinated and neutered, aka the perfect dog! This sweet faces boy is Ellis! He is a 1 year old Shepherd Mix who has not had the greatest start in life. He has been passed around from place to place by no fault of his own. At 45 pounds he is a medium sized boy who can be shy at first meeting, but with some TLC and patience will warm up to be the most loving boy! How could anyone resist that face!?!? Those eyes would make anyone melt! If you are looking for the perfect addition to your family, then this boy could be for you. Since he is a little shy, we recommend a home with children over the age of 12. That way everyone in the home can help him turn into the perfect well-rounded dog. This sweet senior is our 8 year old Yorkie/ Schnauzer mix Greta. She came to us from a high kill shelter in North Jersey after being a stray for quite some time. When Greta was rescued she had a 6lb mass on her right shoulder. This poor girl had all she could do to walk around or even stand to eat. We were able to have the mass removed and it turned out to be a fatty tumor. She is currently on medication as she has been diagnosed as hypothyroid. She would do best in a home with no other dogs and only older children. She loves belly rubs and cuddles but enjoys going on walks the most. She currently needs to loose a few pounds, so long walks are a very good idea. Click here for more information on Greta.
