Calvary Lutheran Church Invites You to Celebrate this Easter

Join us for worship this Easter season.

Calvary Lutheran Church invites everyone to worship as we mark the somber occasion of Christ’s death and rejoice in his resurrection.

Join us on Friday, April 19 at 7:30pm for our Good Friday Tenebrae service. (Tenebrae is the Latin word for darkness.) This is a somber service as we remember the last day of Jesus’ life. Worship concludes with a “Strepitus” or loud noise symbolizing the earthquake and agony of creation at the death of Christ.

On Easter Sunday, April 21, rejoice with us in the Resurrection. Jesus is alive! And through him, God has given us all new and eternal life.

Join us at 8am or 10:15am for Festival Worship with special music and fanfare celebrating the hope that Jesus’ resurrection offers each and every one of us.

Children’s Easter Worship takes place at 9am. This service includes songs and a story but not a sermon. At children’s worship, kids can be kids, praising God as only kids can do. After the service, an Easter Egg hunt will take place in the courtyard. Bring your own basket!
