Cranford Cops Conduct Water Rescues (Photos)
The flash floods caused by Monday's storm put some motorists in a precarious situation, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - The fast and furious round of severe weather that struck Monday night left several motorists stranded in standing water, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, multiple people tried driving through flooded streets in Cranford only to find themselves trapped and in a need of rescue. There were no injuries reported in any of the incidents.
Cranford Police said residents and visitors to Cranford need to be mindful of the road conditions and never drive through standing water.

Officers conducted several water rescues of persons who drove into flood waters during last night’s storm. Luckily there were no injuries reported. As we stated earlier this week - never drive into standing water.
