CRANFORD, NJ — The Cranford Jaycees are preparing to run another successful Fishing Derby this weekend — with prizes for the winning families.

It's the annual Leonard Snyder Memorial Father's Day Fishing Derby at Nomahegan Park on Sunday starting at 9:30 a.m. It ends at 11:30 a.m. with the awards ceremony to commence shortly after. No pre-registration is required.

The Cranford Jaycees will provide free bait and bobbers for all participants while supplies last.

The Nomahegan pond will be specifically stocked for this Father's Day Event with bass and catfish, and there will be six categories for prizes by age range and a special award for the Overall Largest Fish.

In addition to the bass and catfish that are added to the pond, there will be a tagged Golden Trout. If anyone catches the golden trout, there will be a $50 Amazon Gift card for a bounty reward.
