Cranford Knights Of Columbus Donate 5K For Family's Cancer Fight

The Cranford Knights of Columbus Council 6226 gifted the money to Ray Schwartz and his family.

CRANFORD, NJ - An honorary Cranford cop was gifted $5,000 to assist in his fight against cancer thanks to the Cranford Knights of Columbus Council 6226. The Cranford Knights of Columbus Council 6226 presented Ray Schwartz and his family with a donation of $5,000 to help with their fight against cancer.

Last year, Schwartz was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a rare form of cancer. Schwartz participated in the Cranford Youth Police Academy and was sworn-in as an honorary police officer last spring. The Cranford Knights of Columbus raised money to assist Schwartz from their Annual Golf Outing at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth on Friday, Sept. 21.
