Cranford Lax Club Readies for Spring

Cranford Lacrosse Club's expanded program offers new rec league for 1st grade boys and 1st and 2nd grade girls, plus traditional teams.

Registration is now open at www.cranfordlacrosse.org for the 2016 spring season of lacrosse.

This year, the Cranford Lacrosse Club is excited to announce an expanded program for 1st grade boys and 1st and 2nd grade girls. This affordable, in-town league will offer one weekly session from April through the end of May. During each 1.5-hour session, players will gain individual and team skills in environment that will include training followed by a small-sided game on a shortened field.

For the girls, the rookie league requires a girls lacrosse stick, mouthpiece and eye guard. Boys must have a boys lacrosse stick, helmet, mouthpiece, shoulder pads, glove and arm pads.

For children in higher grades (2nd-8th for boys and 3rd-8th for girls), Cranford Lacrosse Club offers teams that compete on grade level against other towns in the surrounding area as well as in one or two tournaments per season.

To participate, all players must have a valid US Lacrosse number, which can be obtained by joining US Lacrosse at wwww.uslacrosse.org or through the Cranford Lacrosse Club’s online registration process, www.cranfordlacrosse.org.
