Cranford Memorial Parade Canceled Due To COVID

Cranford will instead have a virtual ceremony to commemorate Memorial Day in May.

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford's Recreation and Parks Department announced Thursday that the town's annual Memorial Day Parade will be canceled this year, due to the continued prevalence of COVID-19 and due to Gov. Phil Murphy's prohibition of crowds over 5oo people, according to a letter.

However, there is an alternative.

"We will observe Memorial Day 2021 with a virtual commemoration," wrote Director Stephen Robertazzi, "and we hope you will join us at 9 a.m. on TV35 and Facebook Live."
