Cranford Police Logo Contest For Kids, Teens Kicks Off

CRANFORD, NJ — The Cranford Police Department Community Outreach Unit is hosting a youth art competition to help create a new logo design for the Cranford Police Department. Eligible participants — Cranford residents between the ages of 7 and 17 years old — can submit their creative logo designs that may be displayed on t-shirts and possibly other advertising material for the Cranford Police Department.

Winners' art will be showcased on CPD’s social medial pages. The winners’ design will be printed on t-shirts sold at Cougar Headquarters.

The winner will receive a complimentary t-shirt and a gift card to a Cranford restaurant or store of their choosing.

Profits from all shirts sold will be donated to Cranford Family Care, which serves local needy families with a food pantry and in other ways.

Contest guidelines:

1. Logos must be original artwork of the submitter
2. Logo must not use more than 4 colors
3. Logos must show inspiration of three key words: "Integrity," "Community," and "Honor"
4. Logos may be larger but no smaller than 5”x5”
The logo contest began Tuesday and runs until Aug. 6. Submissions are due on or before Aug. 6 by 4 p.m.

Submissions can be emailed to police@cranfordnj.org or dropped off at the Cranford Police Department addressed to "Community Outreach." Any questions about the contest may be directed to the Community Outreach Unit at 908-272-8989 or 908-709-4313.

As part of the contest, art submissions sent to the Cranford Police Department or Cougar Headquarters will become the property of the Cranford Police Department upon entry and may be used in future social media platforms.
