Cranford Police Mourn Death Of Former Officer
Samuel Cymbaluk served the community for over a quarter of a century.

CRANFORD, NJ - The Cranford Police Department is mourning the loss of one of their own as they shared a tribute Tuesday to retired Detective Samuel Cymbaluk passed away at 93.
"It is with deep regret that we advise you of the demise of retired Detective Samuel Cymbaluk," authorities shared on social media.
Cymbaluk was born in Cranford, graduating from Cranford High School and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army prior to joining the Cranford Police Department in April of 1954. Cymbaluk became a Detective in May of 1972 and retired in September of 1979 after 25 and a half years of service.

Family tradition is to serve in Cranford as Samuel's son Paul,served with the Cranford Police Department from 1980-2005 and Samuel's brother, Myron, also served with the Cranford Police Department from 1950-1980.
"We extend our thoughts and prayers to his family and thank him for his service," officials said.

Hundreds of people left condolence messages on social media and members of the family responded.
"Thank you so much for the beautiful post about my beautiful Father," Nancy Cymbaluk Dango wrote. "He was so kind caring and will be missed tremendously."
