CRANFORD, NJ — The Cranford Police Department released an alert Thursday afternoon saying, "Expect intermittent, temporary, road closures in the downtown area over the course of the next several days as the Department of Public Works removes snow from sidewalks and parking spaces."

Some snow remains from a nor'easter that dumped more than two feet of snow in some parts of the state.

However, the Chamber of Commerce sent out an email around the same time as the police alert, noting how busy downtown has been. The Chamber was involved in 12 ribbon tyings and ribbon cuttings last year.
