Cranford Schools To Be Remote Monday, More To Come About Tuesday

CRANFORD, NJ — With more than a foot of snow predicted to hit the area over three days, the Cranford Public Schools will be fully remote on Monday, and all afternoon sessions and activities are cancelled, the district announced Sunday afternoon.
"The district will make a determination by early evening tomorrow as to whether we will be in-person or fully remote on Tuesday," the announcement read.
Around the area, the Summit schools are closed Monday, while Westfield will have morning remote classes.

The snow is expected to start in the Cranford area around 9 p.m. Sunday and continue through early Tuesday morning.
Here is the Accuweather forecast for Cranford. Their prediction is for 4-8 inches of snow Monday and another 1-3 inches Tuesday.

On the other hand, the National Weather Service has issued an alert saying snow could total 16-22 inches from Sunday night through early Tuesday morning.
