Decked Halls: Cranford Downtown Ready For The Holidays
It is just about Thanksgiving and the town is already set for the festivities.

CRANFORD, NJ - New Jersey's best downtown (according to NJ.com) is looking festive thanks to the Cranford Jaycees and the Cranford Newcomers Club.
According to Downtown Cranford, the groups spent part of last weekend making sure the holiday lights were shining at the Clock and Post Office Plaza. The location is the centerpiece of Cranford's downtown which was voted the number one downtown in New Jersey for the second year in a row.
The report noted that throughout this year's competition, about 85,000 votes were cast for downtowns across the state and Cranford won the final round with about 35 percent of the vote over four other finalists: Morristown, Westfield, Pitman and Mount Holly.

This is not the only time Cranford's Downtown has garnered attention. Last year they were awarded 2018's Great Downtown by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association.
Vitality, walkability, dining, shopping, art, history, architecture, and transportation were listed as reasons that Cranford's downtown was awarded 2018's Great Downtown by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association.

According to the APANJ website, Cranford's downtown is the heartbeat that feeds all its residents and visitors. Cranford's train station is the centerpiece of downtown and is the engine that brought population growth, investment, created its network and built its architecture.
