CRANFORD, NJ — The first two evenings of socially distanced drive-in movies in Cranford — showings of the hit movie musical "Grease" on Thursday and Friday — sold out quickly, but township officials say not to give up.

After all, didn't Danny Zuko himself experience disappointment at the drive-in?

In a newsletter Monday evening, the Cranford Township Committee wrote: "Mayor Patrick Giblin and Township Administrator Jamie Cryan worked with township professionals from Police, Fire, and Recreation to assist the Cranford Movie Theater in finalizing plans for a very special entertainment experience at the Orange Avenue Pool parking lot. This summer, the Cranford Movie Theater will open a temporary Drive-In beginning Thursday with a showing of Grease."

The committee added, "Though this weekend's showings are sold out, continue to check the movie theater's website for upcoming showings." For a full list of movies, times, and ticket information please use this link.
