Join us for our final concert of the decade!
Musical Club of Westfield Free Concert Planned for December 11, 2019.
The Musical Club of Westfield invites the public to a free concert on December 11, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. to be held at the First Baptist Church of Westfield 170 Elm Street, Westfield NJ. The Musical Club of Westfield is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster and encourage good music, provide performance opportunities for local musicians and support young musicians from Union county with college scholarships. The club also sponsors the Junior Musical Club for students in grades 8 to 12 from the surrounding communities
December 11, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. to be held at the First Baptist Church of Westfield 170 Elm Street, Westfield NJ.
The concert will begin with Piano Sonata in e-minor by composer Florence Price performed by pianist Helen Ryba.
Brennan Sweet, violin, and Allison Brewster Franzetti, piano, will continue the program with a Meditation from Thaïs, by Jules Massenet and Sonata No. 3 in Eb Major, Op. 12 for piano and violin, by Ludwig van Beethoven. Mr. Sweet is performing as a Guest Artist.
Pianist Carolle-Ann Mochernuk will close the concert with Frederic Chopin’s Ballade No.4 in F Major, Opus 52.
There will be a reception with light refreshments immediately after the concert where audience members will have the opportunity to meet the performers. Additional information about the club can be found by visiting musicalclubofwestfield.org
